"Paradise with You” is one of the 13 songs finalists in the 51st edition of the BNR contest for a new Bulgarian pop and rock song "Spring 2020". The song received the award for debut and its author and performer is Alexander Georgiev – A.L.E.K.S.
"I feel happy that I am able to do what I love – write and perform music," he says. “I found out about this contest during my participation in the radio’s BG Top 20 chart. That's how I wrote the song ‘Paradise with You’ especially for Spring 2020. I wrote it quite quickly, because I had inspiration and my motivation was taking part in this contest. I think it is important for an artist to have unique style and the song is entirely my work. Of course, when I perform live I'm on stage with my friends and colleagues. I was very surprised by the award I won at the 51st edition of Spring 2020. It's a real honor for me, keeping in mind the great musicians who have won awards over the years."
Alexander Georgiev has been living with his family in Manchester, England for 8 years. He is dedicated to music and has been studying at a music school for two years. The songs he creates are in English but he wants to reach the Bulgarian stage and after his participation in Spring 2020 and BG Top 20 he now pays special attention to the Bulgarian language. He says he still has a lot to learn in order to feel comfortable writing lyrics in Bulgarian. Alex has performed on stage in front of various audiences and he says it is very important to show your best every time, whether in a club or on a big festival stage. An important goal for the young musician is his creative ideas, feelings and outlook on life to reach more people.
