"Negotiating the Fund for Reconstruction of Europe is a success for the entire European Union, but the budget is not guaranteed for us and everything is in our hands," Iliyana Tsanova, deputy managing director of the European Fund for Strategic Investment, told BNR regarding the future financing for Bulgaria to the tune of 29 billion euro. According to her, Bulgaria has been given a chance to transform its economy and it is up to us to invest this resource wisely.
The expert also stressed that Bulgaria has not had an economic program and strategy for "many years". "If we don't take advantage of this opportunity, it will be a huge missed benefit for Bulgarian society," she added.
