The anti-government protests continue for the 11th consecutive night in Sofia and many towns across the country.

According to a survey by Gallup International around 58% of Bulgarians say that the government must resign.

“Young people at the protest are expressing their culture shock from what the government and the institutions in Bulgaria are like,” said Parvan Simeonov, executive director of Gallup International for the BNR.

The organizers of the protest have called for civil disobedience and for blocking the work of the institutions in the country on Monday, however the trade unions in the country stated that conditions for a national strike were not at hand.

The protests continue tonight in many towns across the country as well. The protesters in Blagoevgrad are planning to block traffic along the E-79 main road. Protests are also taking place in the capital cities of many European countries, and also in towns where there are large numbers of Bulgarians. At noon today protests were organized in the two biggest cities in the German province of Bavaria – Munich and Nuremberg.
