Bulgaria’s ruling coalition vows to remain in government until the end of its term of office

The ruling coalition remains stable and will continue to govern the country until the spring of 2021 when the term of office of the current cabinet ends. This was announced after the meeting of the council of the ruling coalition GERB- United Patriots hosted by Premier Boyko Borisov. The cabinet will discuss cabinet reshuffles when the motion of no-confidence submitted by the socialist party is rejected at the parliament. It is not the right moment for a caretaker cabinet, Premier Borissov said and added: “Very difficult times will come in view of the coronavirus situation. I cannot imagine the country being governed by the leaders of the protest. It will collapse immediately, because they were already in office and we saw what they can do”, Premier Borissov said.
