"You probably expect, after the statement of Mr. President a while ago, a mirror reaction. There will be no mirror reaction!", said Deputy Prime Minister Tomislav Donchev on the occasion of the official address of President Rumen Radev, with which he demanded the resignation of the government and the Prosecutor General.

"Today I declare that the Bulgarian president has more than a year until the end of his term and I think it is important that he completes it, although I do not agree with some of his arguments," he added. According to him, the government has become a mafia (a criticism leveled by the head of state) when the prosecutor's office raised charges against two of his advisers.
Tomislav Donchev also said that Rumen Radev had asked for all the power today because, according to the Constitution, in the event of the government's resignation, a caretaker cabinet without a parliament would follow.
