Premier Borissov calls for public debate among experts on measures against Covid-19

Bulgaria’s Premier Boyko Borissov called for a public debate among medics on the measures this country needs to adopt to contain the coronavirus infection after the recent increase in the number of Covid-19 cases. We are to ease the anti-epidemic measures again, if a public debate on the topic is not held, Premier Borissov said. In his view, last night’s protest in support of President Radev and against the detention of senior officials from the Presidential administration, held downtown Sofia, will lead to an escalation of the epidemic. Difficult years await us. The EU has not yet reached official agreement on the billions of Euros we are talking about. Each country will try to fix its internal problems and we will need absolute consensus no matter who is in the government, Borissov said further.
