“Prime Minister Boyko Borissov is right not to want to impose stricter measures to contain the spread of the Covid-19 infection. A European study shows that people do not believe the coronavirus is so contagious and are not inclined to comply with the measures,” said Prof. Dr. Asen Baltov, director of Pirogov emergency hospital for BNT.

“Graduation balls were allowed, going to night clubs was allowed, to bars, to restaurants, places older people are afraid to go. That is why it is only natural for more young people to get sick because they do not comply with the measures, older people and people with underlying diseases are very much aware of this and they are not allowing young people to come close, they wear masks, use disinfectant, observe distancing,” Prof. Baltov said.
