During a meeting of the National Operational Headquarters for Combating the Coronavirus pandemic, Prime Minister Borissov stressed that the increase in the number of people infected with Covid-19 was due to the crowding of people during family celebrations and football matches. He called on people to observe all measures regarding physical distancing, disinfection, and most of all discipline, noting that there are millions of people infected around the world.

Borissov said the European Union continues to have no unified policy, including the opening of borders for tourism. Borissov ordered hospitals to stock up on everything necessary to prevent the virus.
