Bulgaria’s National Assembly has tasked the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy to make an analysis of current legislation in the field of social assistance within a period of four months.

According to a draft decision prepared at the suggestion of MPs of the United Patriots, a single Code of Social Support will be created, which will unify existing legislation in this area - the Law on People with Disabilities, the Law on Social Assistance, the Law on Family Benefits for Children, The Child Protection Act, the Personal Assistance Act and the Social Services Act. The bill was supported by 113 votes, as three were against and there were 39 abstentions.
