The latest edition of the “Books for trash” campaign will take place in Bourgas, Varna and Veliko Turnovo on 27 and 28 June. Anyone wishing to join the environmental initiative can bring unsoiled recyclable plastics for which they will receive a book of their choice. The initiative starts at 10 AM in all three towns, and the selection this year is of books on which films are based. The titles include Doctor Dolittle, The Call of the Wild, The Little Prince and many others. The organizers say the event will take place in compliance with all anti-epidemic measures. Since the first edition of “Books for trash” in 2013, more than 60 tons of plastic waste has been recycled and hundreds of books handed out.
