The Union of Reserve Officers and Sergeants, the Union of Thracian Societies in Bulgaria, the Bulgarian Tourist Union and the Vasil Levski Committee of All Bulgarians have expressed strong criticism at the selection of organizations part of the Civil Society Development Council at the Council of Ministers.

They claim that the 14 selected organizations out of the 200 NGOs that applied electronically are not representative. They criticize the procedure and claim that the selected NGOs are funded from abroad in violation of the opinion of the Anti-Corruption Committee and add that if the government did not reconsider the choice, they would create an alternative Civil Society Council.
