Ancient Orphic ritual for the summer solstice can be watched online

Кадър от филма

The Day of the Summer Solstice, June 21, is to be celebrated with an ancient Orphic ritual broadcast online at the National Archaeological Reserve "Thracian and Ancient City of Kabyle" near Yambol. This is done through a film that has not been shown before.
Every year, thousands of enthusiasts come to Zaichi Vrah (Rabbit Peak) to see how the first ray of the sun on the day of the summer solstice illuminates the face of the goddess Cybele carved into the rock sanctuary.
Because of the pandemic this year the organizers are recreating the tradition online. The script of the reconstruction is by Prof. Valeria Fol, and the specially composed music is by Dr. Alexandra Fol.
The film can be watched until the end of the day on the internet addresses https://bit.ly/2Bh9IdF and https://bit.ly/2UX8YRX.
