In a telephone conversation, Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borissov and President of the European Council, Charles Michel, discussed the upcoming video-conference EU summit. PM Borissov said the European Commission's coronavirus recovery plan was balanced.

It is important for Bulgaria that cohesion and the common agricultural policy is maintained at their current levels. For the newer Member States, traditional EU budget policies are important for achieving pan-European standards and for increasing competitiveness, Borissov added. With regard to the Just Transition Fund, Bulgaria believes that it needs to be more flexible.

Borissov and Michel have also discussed the Mobility Package.
