Bulgaria lifts quarantine of Izgrev village

All restrictive measures for movement to and from the village of Izgrev, Shumen district, have been lifted at 4 pm on June 15. After the mass testing of village residents for Covid-19, the District Coronavirus Headquarters decided to lift the police checkpoints near the village one week after they were set up. 300 people, or nearly half of the village’s residents were tested for the novel coronavirus and 38 people were diagnosed with Covid-19. The restrictions will remain in place for people living on three streets, where the infection was localized. Enhanced monitoring for observance of the anti-epidemic measures will continue, despite the protests of the local residents. Covid-19 tests of residents of Kaolinovo Municipality, Shumen district, continue. Covid-19 outbreak is likely to occur in the village of Takach, the local health authorities announced.
