At a meeting at the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy, representatives of this country’s fitness industry discussed the difficulties in the sports services system with Bulgaria’s Minister of Youth and Sports Krasen Kralev and with Bulgaria’s Minister of Labor and Social Policy Denitsa Sacheva. Although the sports halls have been open for three weeks already, they remain empty. Representatives of the Bulgarian Association for Health and Fitness commented that their business was facing a bankruptcy. That is why they insist that the 60/40 wage support scheme applies to their sector as well. They also demanded lower VAT rate. The fitness sector is ready lo launch protests, if an agreement is not reached.
