After a forced break due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the Vienna State Opera reopens its doors to fans. Bulgarian names are also present in the program.
On June 25, world-renowned opera prima Krassimira Stoyanova, winner of the prestigious Kammersängerin title at the Vienna State Opera, will perform a song recital. Her performances will be accompanied on the piano by the famous Bulgarian pianist Lyudmil Angelov. Fans of classical music surely remember their successful joint performances as a chamber duo in prestigious venues such as Vienna's Musikverein and Milan's La Scalla.
The young talented Bulgarian singer Svetlina Stoyanova will also take part in four of the opera's forthcoming concerts. After winning the prestigious Neue Stimmen competition in 2017, she was personally invited by Dominique Meyer as a soloist in the Wiener Staatsoper and had brilliant performances for two seasons. Among her best roles on the Austrian stage are Rosina from The Barber of Seville and Cherubino from The Marriage of Figaro.
