Minister of Labour and Social Policy Denitsa Sacheva announced the launch of the new EUR 80 million government measure for tackling unemployment.
The aim is to reduce the number of people left out of a job during the coronavirus pandemic in Bulgaria. The measure is under the OP “Human Resource Development” and will involve hiring people who will be paid a minimum salary, plus social security installments. In Minister Sacheva’s words the number of unemployed before the state of emergency in the country was 200,000. At this time this figure is up by 90,000.
