Restaurants to reopen fully as of 1 June

Indoor restaurants are expected to reopen as of 1 June. “As we are talking about tourism during this period we should also open indoor restaurants,” Prime Minister Boyko Borissov said.

Commenting on the demand for a reduction in VAT on all food, he stated that this was a high-risk venture. “At a time when the level of revenues is low we made an exception for books and for restaurants because we had literally forbidden restaurants to work,” Borissov added.

“The resignation of the finance minister is not under discussion,” he said, and added that companies are being provided credits and grants, in full. PM Borissov stated that nobody had been prepared for tens of thousands of companies requesting financing at the same tim
