Bulgarians are tolerant people, new Israeli foreign minister says

Thanks to the Bulgarians we are alive, they are a tolerant people. This is what General Gabi Ashkenazi, former Chief of General Staff of the Israel Defense Forces and current Minister of Foreign Affairs said in the documentary "The Next Generation". 

General Ashkenazi came to Bulgaria for the first time because of the film, as he is a descendant of Bulgarian Jews from the city of Plovdiv, said Jacob Djerassi, chairman of the World Zionist Organization - Bulgaria

The premiere of the documentary took place a few months ago in Israel. It was attended by Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borissov and General Ashkenazi who is  Minister of Foreign Affairs in Benjamin Netanyahu's coalition government since May 17.
