Bulgarian doctor is optimistic about Tokyo Olympic Games in 2021

The Tokyo Summer Olympics could be held in 2021 without available vaccine against Covid-19. Stefan Strugarov, a longtime doctor of the Bulgarian Olympic delegations, has told the BNR.

According to him by next summer the majority of people would probably have encountered the coronavirus and that the danger of mass infection would have subsided. Strugarov's opinion is contrary to that of Japanese doctors, who predicted the cancellation of the games if no vaccine was discovered by next summer.

Strugarov added that the current autumn-spring sports season has been lost and full sport practice could probably resume by the autumn of 2020.
