Certification of documents via apostille in Bulgaria will be done within 8 working hours. The deadline can be extended to 2 working days for objective reasons. The new alleviations were approved by the Bulgarian government with supplements to the rules of legalization, certification and translation of documents.  An inspection based on the secret client method has ascertained that the district administrations, this country’s Foreign Ministry and the Ministry of Justice set different time limits ranging from 3 to 30 days. That is why, the Bulgarian cabinet decided to unify this practice. The measure is adopted in line with the government’s priority to reduce administrative burden for citizens and business.
