Ursula von der Lеyen: Bulgaria showed strong will and did not close churches in a time when people need faith

Bulgaria's Prime Minister Boyko Borissov and EC President Ursula von der Leyen discussed in a telephone conversation the European Union's plans and options for emerging out of the Covid-19 crisis as well as concrete measures for the rapid recovery of the economies of the countries of the community.

Borissov also informed the President of the European Commission about Bulgaria's intentions to accelerate its application for the Eurozone waiting room.
Ursula von der Leyen greeted all Bulgarians on Easter. "The Bulgarian government has shown a strong will and has not closed the churches at a time when people need faith and hope," Ursula von der Leyen said.
