Bulgarian students earn medals at mathematical olympiad

Bulgarian students representing the Sofia University Saint Kliment Ohridski earned gold, silver and bronze medals at the Third Open Mathematical Olympiad for University Students in Ashgabad, Turkmenistan. The Bulgarian students earned 2 gold, 1 silver and 3 bronze medals in the individual competitions. The Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics with the Sofia University earned silver medal in the team competition. The Bulgarian students participated in absentia due to the circumstances related to the Covid-19 pandemic. 13 countries and over 30 universities were represented at the mathematical olympiad.
