Bulgaria will not take EC credit for 60/40 measure for now

Regarding the possibility of Bulgaria availing itself of the European Commission fund for the companies which will operate at reduced capacity in the conditions of pandemic, with the state covering part of the salaries of their staff, Deputy Prime Minister Tomislav Donchev stated that if there is such financing on favourable terms, then it could be made us of.

For the time being, however, Bulgaria is not planning to avail itself of loan financing as it has already allocated resources for the 60/40 measure. In Tomislav Donchev’s words, in the space of two days 260 companies with a total of over 3,000 staff have displayed an interest in this measure.
