Prosecution calls for check on fuel prices

The Supreme Administrative Prosecutor's Office has called on the Commission for Protection of Competition - CPC over the big difference in the price of oil on the international markets and fuel prices in Bulgaria. The CPC is to decide whether to start activities related to fuel prices on the market.

The Prosecution has opened a file due to the significant decrease in the world price of crude oil by 47.4%, according to the Customs Agency, as the fall in the prices of liquid fuels in this country has reached just 11%. The prosecutor's office said fuel prices were not subject to administrative regulation, but any doubts of violations against competition should have been ruled out.
