The new rules for drivers who operate in the current emergency measures were clarified earlier today by head of the National Crisis Staff Gen. Ventsislav Mutafchiyski. He elaborated on three scenarios concerning the work of drivers:
The first scenario concerns international drivers who arrive in Bulgaria for a short time, unload their goods in Bulgaria and immediately take a new course. In this case, the employer is obliged to provide the drivers with the option for social exclusion until he leaves Bulgaria. Departure is usually within 24 hours.
The second scenario applies to drivers who arrive in Bulgaria and have no new course in their schedule. Then they should be in a mandatory 14-day quarantine.
The third scenario is when foreign international drivers arrive in Bulgaria and travel through the country within 12 to 24 hours with a minimum stay in its territory. In these cases, the trucks are usually escorted by the police.
The same rules apply to airlines, Munafchiyski explained.
