State of Emergency measures act enters into force

The Bulgarian State Gazette has published the State of Emergency Measures Act, with which the act enters into force. The new law allows the armed forces to carry out personal checks and controls on traffic until the police appear. Fines on late payments will not apply and notarial practices will be restricted. 
Employers can assign employees to work from home as well as send them on paid annual leave. Restrictions on overtime are removed. 
Fines for various administrative offenses regarding the implementation of the emergency anti-epidemic measures are increased from EUR 2,500 to EUR 50,000. 
The number of reported COVID-19 cases in Bulgaria has reached 202 people, the National Crisis Staff reported.
