Bulgaria’s Minister of Health Kiril Ananiev has temporarily banned non-EU citizens to enter Bulgaria by any vehicles as of 00.00 on March 20 until April 17, 2020. The entry ban for nationals of Italy, Spain, France, Great Britain and Northern Ireland, Germany, the Netherlands and Switzerland remains in place except for Bulgarian citizens and their family members and persons with a status of permanent residence or long-term residence in Bulgaria. Nationals of the abovementioned countries and their family members can cross Bulgaria in transit to return to their home countries or countries of residence.
