Bulgaria suspends all tourist trips until April 13

After Minister of Tourism Nikolina Angelkova issued an order today, all activities under the Tourism Act, including domestic tourism and international trips have been suspended until April 13. The Minister said that this would certainly lead to bankruptcies in the industry, but the ministry has no current estimates of the scale.

Earlier today, Prosecutor General Ivan Geshev called on the state to take tougher measures to combat the spread the disease, such as stopping trips abroad, international transport of people, and movement of people between cities. He also called for the organization of a self-reliance system within the country and the production of all necessary products.
