In order to limit the spread of the coronavirus on the territory of Bulgaria, Bulgaria’s state institutions come up with a set of measures and recommendations for citizens, companies and organizations.
Ministry of Labour and Social Policy
Flexible working hours and remote work should be introduced by employers as a precautionary measure for employees. In order to protect the health of their staff, employers can transform all free spaces into new working stations and place internal barriers between workstations. It is recommended that adjournments, conferences, seminars and trainings be postponed or organized through online platforms. Flexible working hours can be combined with remote work, thus avoiding clustering of workers and interrupting an efficient workflow.
Ministry of Education and Science
The holiday for students announced because of the seasonal flu in different areas of the country has been extended. Mayors of settlements may also decide to suspend training. Enhanced disinfection measures have been put in place in schools where the learning process takes place. School events, trips, excursions and site visits have been discontinued outside schools. The planned competitions and Olympiads have been postponed until the permission for holding mass events by the National Operational Headquarters.
It is recommended to stop visits to tourist sites, as well as to cancel tourist festivals and events in the Gabrovo and Pleven districts by the second order. The recommendations are based on the decisions taken by the Council of Ministers on 8 March 2020, the orders of the National Operational Headquarters and the meeting of the Expert Group on Emergency Situations established by order of the Minister of Tourism on infection and measures to limit the spread –
