The Bulgarian Ministry of Healthcare and the Border Police have conducted a training drill at the Sofia Airport to practice action in case of passengers having coronavirus symptoms.
Teams of the Military Medical Academy also participated in the training of the institutions. A scenario was played out for two patients having symptoms of the disease, arriving at the Sofia Airport. The drill continued at the Military Medical Academy, where the patients were taken.
Measures to prevent spread of coronavirus are also being introduced along Bulgaria's land borders. At Kapitan Andreevo border checkpoint, body temperature of passengers is measured. These are part of the measures outlined by the new Crisis Headquarters set up by the Government Security Council. Passengers from several buses traveling from Istanbul also had their temperature measured, it was reported.
