Yunder Beitula has won second silver medal for Bulgaria at the pre-Olympic weightlifting tournament in Iran. In the 81kg category, Beitula made six successful attempts and became a vice champion with a total of 353kgs.

Beitula is a representative of the school in Dobrich with coach Todor Kirchev and won bronze in the men's world championship in Thailand last fall. The other Bulgarian weightlifter Angel Russev came in second in the 61kg category. The results of the two weightlifters give them a serious chance to fight for Olympic quotas for the Tokyo 2020 Games.
