Thousands of students, actors and admirers gathered at the Ivan Vazov National Theater in Sofia to say their last farewell to Stefan Danailov. The great Bulgarian actor passed away days before his 77th birthday. People say that the loss for Bulgarian culture is huge and that the artist lived a dignified and full life.
In his long career, Danailov played more than 150 roles in cinema, theater and television, which have won him numerous Bulgarian and foreign awards. He was a professor at the National Academy of Theater and Film Arts, an MP in several National Assemblies and held the position of Minister of Culture. In his rich career, for 8 years Danailov was also a host of a popular entertainment radio show aired by BNR.
