The insufficiently developed precautionary measures and ambulatory care contribute to the poor health results. There are significant differences in the health status of the Bulgarians by gender, regions and education. The number of infectious diseases such as tuberculosis is worrying. This raises concerns about the equal access to healthcare, especially for people with lower incomes, the report further reads.
