Bulgarian opera diva Sonya Yoncheva will sing tonight in Bulgaria hall under the accompaniment of the Sofia Philharmonic and Nayden Todorov who is the Principal Conductor of this orchestra. The talented Bulgarian singer arrives in her home country after nearly one year of absence. Let us remind that in 2017 she presented her Verdi programme for the first time in Hall 1 of the National Palace of Culture under the conductorship of her husband Domingo Hindoyan. In 2018, she was part of the concert of the Sofia Philharmonic Orchestra (conductor Nayden Todorov) in one of the world’s most prestigious concert halls BOZAR during the official opening of the Bulgarian Presidency of the Council of the European Union.

Several days ago on November 9, the Bulgarian soprano appeared on stage at the Elbphilharmonie hall in Hamburg for the first time after a four-month absence. She performed together with the Nordwestdeutsche Philharmonie. Bulgarian Boian Videnoff, founder and conductor of the Mannheimer Philharmoniker, conducted this concert. The pieces that are part of Sonya Yoncheva’s concert programme tonight were performed on November 13 in Moscow at Tchaikovsky hall together with the State Academic Symphony Orchestra of Russia Evgeny Svetlanov under the conductorship of Diego Matheuz.

Sonya Yoncheva’s appearances caused huge excitement among music lovers, because of her wonderful voice, irresistible presence on the stage and the fact that just over a month ago she gave birth to her second child. The Bulgarian opera diva is among the favorites of the opera audience around the world. She is among the few artists in the history of Metropolitan Opera who participated in three shows in one season and each show was broadcast live in 2,000 cinema halls. She built her successful career on the stages of the Covent Garden Royal Opera, La Scala, The Bavarian State Opera, the Berlin State Opera, the Vienna State Opera House, the Paris Opera, etc. Placido Domingo, Dmitry Hvorstovsky, Sting, Jonas Kaufmann were among her stage partners over the years.

On November 15 the young Bulgarian tenor Mihail Mihaylov who is a laureate of international music contests Pancho Vladigerov and Gena Dimitrova will sing in the duos at Bulgaria Hall.
