We need to motivate more parents and their children to choose the professional education. The professions who require professional and technical education will see highest increase of wages, Bulgaria’s Minister of Education Krasimir Valchev said in the town of Pleven. We found out that the dual form of education is more attractive to students, Minister Valchev specified. This year there are nearly 3,000 students in the dual education, which is two times more than last year, but this is still not enough. According to forecasts, in the next 10 years the shortage of technical staff with professional and university degree will be biggest, Minister Valchev pointed out. There will be staff shortage in all professions, but the shortage of technical specialists, water engineers, power engineers and experts in machine building, mechatronics and electrical engineering field will be highest, Minister Valchev added.
