There is a tendency towards liberalization of the natural gas market in Bulgaria in line with the EU requirements for bigger competition and diversity of supplies, Bulgaria’s Minister of Energy Temenuzhka Petkova told the Bulgarian National Television. On occasion of the route connecting the national gas transferring system with the Turk Stream has pipeline, which was unveiled two days ago, Minister Petkova pointed out that natural gas supplies will be further diversified through the Bulgaria-Greece gas interconnector, which is now being constructed. Bulgaria will receive gas from Azerbaijan via the interconnector with Greece. Bulgartransgaz will participate at the project for LNG terminal in Alexandroupolis, which will allow supplies of liquefied gas from the USA, Algeria and Qatar, Minister Petkova added.
