Brexit makes Bulgaria look for new markets outside EU

We are expecting the outcome of the Brexit case with anxiety and hope. In this perspective the development of Bulgaria’s exports will remain highly-dependent on the recovery of the European economy. Under these conditions, a strong reorientation to third markets is likely to continue, which, unlike the EU market, show significant growth. Since the beginning of 2019, Bulgaria’s total exports hit record highs and amounted to EUR 19 billion, this country’s Minister of Economy Emil Karanikolov said at a Conference of Honorary Consuls of Bulgaria. 71 out of all 75 honorary consuls representing Bulgaria in 45 countries participate at the forum.
