Svilen Kanev receives 2019 John Atanasoff Award

Bulgaria’s President Rumen Radev presented the 2019 John Atanasoff Award to Bulgarian Svilen Kanev. The thirty one-year old Kanev has a doctoral degree and dozens of publications quoted over 500 times in all prestigious magazines and world conferences. Svilev Kanev works as senior software engineer at Google. His is mainly interested in the field of computer architectures- the border between software and hardware. Twenty nine-year-old engineer Svetlin Penkov placed second after Kanev due to his exceptional success scored with an own development. Svetlin Penkov has a doctoral degree in robotics and artificial intelligence from the University in Edinburg.
