One of Bulgaria’s biggest tour operators Astral Holidays declared bankruptcy. The Bulgarian company is partner of the bankrupt British company Thomas Cook. The trips of all clients who bought holiday packages from Astral Holidays and are currently abroad are entirely paid and the tourists do not risk problems related to flights, refusals for hotel accommodation or other tourist services, the Bulgarian travel company contends. Astral Holidays is not able to fulfill future planned trips of some of its clients after October 7, 2019. They will be personally informed with a phone call by representatives of the travel company and will be compensated with guaranteed funds from the Tour Operator Liability insurance.
