A quick solution to existing issues with Bulgaria is possible, Prime Minister of North Macedonia, Zoran Zaev, said at a consultative meeting with Bulgarian President Rumen Radev in Sofia. Commenting on the Bulgarian position that support for the EU membership of North Macedonia was not unconditional as Sofia insisted on implementation of the friendship and neighborhood agreement between the two countries, PM Zaev said that there was no cause for concerns.

We have received the warnings and messages from Sofia. Bulgaria is one of our biggest defenders in the EU and I believe it would confirm this by supporting the start of negotiations with North Macedonia, which has been a candidate for 15 years, Prime Minister Zaev added.
