Bulgarian bank that breached confidentiality of personal data to pay over EUR 500,000 fine

One of Bulgaria’s largest banks DSK Bank will pay a fine to the tune of EUR 511,000, because it failed to guarantee the confidentiality of the personal data of its clients, the Commission for Personal Data Protection announced. Personal data, including personal ID numbers, personal and biometric data such as color of eyes and height, number of bank accounts and even health condition of over 33,000 clients and a large number of third persons were disclosed.
