Renowned paragliders to compete in Bulgaria

Some of the best paragliders in the world will gather for a competition in Bulgaria in the period August 30 to September 1 in Sopot, central Bulgaria. The race is based on the idea of ​​ world record holder in acrobatic paragliding Veselin Ovcharov. The competition will introduce the new discipline "acro cross" - a combination of the two main disciplines in this sport - cross country and acrobatics. Top paragliders from Brazil, Spain, France, England, Germany, Russia, Turkey and other countries have confirmed their participation. The program includes a mass take-off from the upper station of the Sopot lift and a joint air launch, followed by a racing flight at a distance of about 10 km.
