Army, police and gendarmerie in Bulgaria are now involved in the fight against African swine fever, Agriculture Minister Desislava Taneva said. Two new outbreaks were discovered on Wednesday - in Vratsa and Targovishte, Minister Taneva said. Currently, there are 15 outbreaks of infection among pigs in private farms and 15 cases of wild boars infected with the disease in the country. 75 euros will be given for a hunted wild boar in the 20-kilometer quarantine area around the outbreaks. The control on passing cars in the quarantine area and at border crossings, ports and airports is also stepped up. All thrash containers will also be thoroughly disinfected.
