Now, the Bulgaria-North Macedonia Joint Commission on Historical Issues has to agree on a text based on the common celebrations and above all on a change in their textbooks, Minister Zaharieva noted. What is important is that we are in a dialogue and this tension can be solved if we tell the truth, Minister Zaharieva added. Recently, North Macedonia’s President Pendarovski determined as undeniable the fact that Gotse Delchev declared and identified himself as Bulgarian, but that he also fought for independent Macedonia.
