Maria Oryashkova wins gold in sambo at European Games in Minsk

Bulgarian Maria Oryashkova has won a gold medal for Bulgaria at the European Games in Minsk, Belarus. The nine-time European and four-time world sambo champion grabbed the title in the 80-kg category after a victory against Russian Janara Kusanova. Bulgarian Tsvetelina Tsvetanova won bronze in the 48 kg category of the sambo competition.

Currently, Bulgaria ranks ninth in the Minsk medal chart with a total of 1 gold, 4 silver and 4 bronze medals.
