After the sitting of the EU General Affairs Council in Luxembourg Bulgaria’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Ekaterina Zaharieva welcomed the unambiguous support for the European perspective of the Western Balkans. Minister Zaharieva regretted that due to the lack of time the decision of the EU on accession talks with the Republic of North Macedonia and Albania was postponed until later this year. Ekaterina Zaharieva voiced expectations that the council will return to this topic in October this year at the latest.
