In a phone conversation with the Secretary-General of the United Nations Antonio Guterres Bulgaria’s Premier Boyko Borissov voiced his full support for his position that by 2050 the European Union should become a leader in the fight against climate changes. Antonio Guterres thanked Premier Borissov for his personal commitment to the assertion of the Paris Agreement (the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change). He invited Boyko Borissov to participate at the Climate Summit which will be held before the opening of the 74th session of the UN General Assembly, in order to give impetus to the implementation of the Paris Agreement. Premier Borissov promised to support the initiative of Antonio Guterres at the European Council meeting this week.
