Bulgaria’s President Rumen Radev vetoes amendments to State Property Act

Bulgaria’s President Rumen Radev vetoed the amendments to the State Property Act. President Radev supports the main purpose of the amendments-to optimize the process of building significant national sites. However, Bulgaria’s head of state Radev contends that a balance between the public interest and the right to property, which is protected by the Constitution, was not reached, which creates the risk of delay of important infrastructure projects.
