Rumen Radev: The nominations for Prosecutor General must strictly meet the legal requirements

The nominations for Prosecutor General must be well-grounded and strictly meet the legal requirements. The public expects clear benchmarks in the application of the criteria of the candidates’ independence, said President Rumen Radev during a meeting with the chairman of the Supreme Administrative Court Georgi Cholakov.

Their meeting is the latest in the series of meetings the Bulgarian President initiated in connection with the criteria of election and powers of the next prosecutor general. Rumen Radev and Georgi Cholakov also discussed the speed and efficiency of administrative procedural law and the work load of the law courts as an aspect of the judicial reform.
